The Maintenance group makes site visits to school facilities, conducting inspections to ensure that state standards are being met. The Area Project Managers-Maintenance note the school’s condition, preventative maintenance and maintenance performance, custodial plan vs. custodial performance, and other facility related issues. The Maintenance group are tasked with working with school districts to improve their maintenance/custodial services as required and may occasionally refer schools to other appropriate agencies such as the State Health Department, State Fire Marshall, etc. should issues be serious and not corrected by the district. Area Project Managers (Maintenance) also assist school districts with use of the state’s automated maintenance management system (SchoolDude).
